Solid Silver Genuine Viking Axe Pendant

This is a superb Viking Axe Pendant made from Silver. Dating from the 10th century AD, this superb example is in excellent condition.

Dimensions: 15x10mm. Intact and well formed. The suspension loop is complete making this a wearable piece of ancient history.

Highly collectable and sought-after.

Ancient Briton Woad Grinder

This fascinating ancient antiquity shows how the ancient Britons used to grind up the woad flower to obtain a bright blue dye used for war paint.
The curved side of the grinder has a deep, wide groove against which the flowers were rubbed and woad collected. The woad was then mixed with water and applied to the body and face to create the ulimate warrior.

This bronze grinder dates from 100BC.

Today, this grinder can be worn as a beautiful and eyecatching pendant as shown - what a conversation piece!

Length 7cm approx.
